The grand opening of the first floor of the Library of the Health Sciences takes place on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, from 3 – 5 p.m.
The 23,000-sq.ft. space was redesigned for the collaborative style of contemporary student learning and the intense study habits of medicine, nursing, dentistry, and other health sciences professionals. There are various configurations for small-group work — open and enclosed rooms and seating in banquettes or chairs. For quiet study, there is a separate reading room and individual carrels. The 54-seat Olga M. Jonasson, MD classroom hosts instruction sessions and also serves as a computer lab.
