Coming Full Circle author event 9/21

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the University Library present Carol LaChapelle (’71 LAS, ’88 MA English) in the program Coming Full Circle: A Book Event and Workshop, on Wednesday, September 21,  6 p.m.,in 509 SCE.

LaChapelle is the author of Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Stories.  Along with her writing accomplishments, LaChapelle is also a teacher who assists people with telling their stories, whether in personal journals, family histories or published essays and memoirs. Former adjunct faculty at UIC, Carol conducts writing workshops for therapists, educators, and clergy; writing groups and professional associations; at conferences, book fairs, and retreats; and at public and research libraries, including the world-renowned Newberry Library in Chicago.

Her writing has appeared in The Writing Group Book; Environmental Practice; and in consumer publications and newsletters. Carol’s book Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Stories (Marion Street Press, 2008) will be available for purchase ($14.95) at the event.
