The University of Illinos seeks candidates for several Assistant Director of University Records and Information Management Services (RIMS) positions, located on all campuses including Chicago.
The RIMS Assistant Director oversees and coordinates the management of University records and supporting information resources. The RIMS Assistant Director plays a key role in planning, establishing and implementing an effective University records and information management program in a team environment.

Library Community Building Committee
The University Library is seeking a full-time Business/Administrative Associate. The Business Associate supervises business office staff (typically comprised of business manager, budget analyst, library assistant, and student employees). He/she reports to the Assistant University Librarian for Administrative Services, who reports to the University Librarian. Under administrative direction, provide financial and business services to administrative and operational units of the University Library. These services include budgets operational and analyses, payroll, sponsored grants and contracts activity, purchasing, accounting business systems.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or a field related to the position
• Two years of professional level accounting, managerial and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level
• One year of financial or business work experience in an academic setting
Strongly Desired Qualification
• Master’s degree in business, public administration, or related field
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Ability to produce complex financial reports of professional quality and appearance that convey detailed information with clarity
• CPA certification or progress toward certification
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences which will include faculty, staff, and students

Entries from the 2011 Image of Research competition have been added to the Library’s online image collections. The Image of Research collection draws on entries to an annual interdisciplinary competition, sponsored by the UIC Graduate College and the University Library. Students are invited to submit an image with aesthetic appeal that the student created as part of their research. The competition was launched in 2008.
