Dorsch serves on health info panel

Jo Dorsch, Health Sciences Librarian, Library of the Health Sciences-Peoria, was a panelist at the “Ounce of Prevention…Is A Ton of Work” conference held  at the Riverfront Conference Center in East Peoria on Wednesday, September 30.  The conference was sponsored by Quality Quest for Health of Illinois and the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.  Her comments on the Reactor Panel were directed to how health consumers find  health information on the Internet and how physicians can guide their patients to quality preventive health guidelines.

Stine joins Special Collections

Kathryn Stine began as Visiting Assistant Special Collections Librarian and Visiting Assistant Professor in the Special Collections Department on September 16, 2009.  Prior to this appointment, Ms. Stine served as Archivist for the HistoryMakers.  She earned her M.L.S. at  the University of Michigan in 2006.  Kathryn can be reached at 6-2742 or at katstine@gmail.com.

UIC men’s basketball tickets available

UIC men’s basketball has a new season ticket plan, the FLAMES FLEX PLAN, available for as little as $90.

For a $90 FLEX PLAN, you receive 12 undated ticket vouchers to use for any men’s basketball game combination you choose. For example, you could bring a group of 12 friends to one game or you could bring a friend to 6 different games throughout the season. FLEX PLAN seating is in the lower level of the Pavilion.

In addition, there are other season ticket packages for those who are interested in having an assigned seat throughout the season:

– Full Season Floor Seat for $475

– Full Season Premium Lower Level Seat or Upper Level Seat for $175
