Veterinary medicine projects

The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the National
Agricultural Library (NAL), the National Library of Medicine (NLM), and
the United States Agricultural Information Network (USAIN) have formed a collaborative entity to create two associated projects related to
veterinary medicine – a new web portal for veterinary information and a PubMed special query to limit searches to veterinary clinical literature. Diane A. Fagen, Library Clerk, LHS-Rockford, is a member of the original collaborating group.

In the future, the Medical Library Association (MLA) will have
representation on the advisory committee through the Veterinary Medical Library Section (VMLS). The group announced the projects at MLA 2007 in Philadelphia, and will sponsor focus groups at the American Veterinary Medical Association Annual Meeting in Washington DC in July 2007.
