Mac OS X Security Update

Apple has issued a security update for Mac OS X, which fixes multiple vulnerabilities. For those who have set their systems to automatically download updates from Apple, you will be prompted to update your system within a week.

If this does not happen please go to the Apple Menu and select “Software Update” to receive this highly critical security update.

Open Journal Publishing

The Library has an open journal publishing program using the open source Open Journals System. Three journals are using the software: Behavior and Social Issues, First Monday and the International Journal of Internet Research Ethics. Nancy John will be demonstrating the system for anyone who is interested, in the ELL and on e-rooms, on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 from 2-3 p.m.

Do you Have a Second Life?

Are you an expert in Second Life (the virtual world environment)? or is it something that interests you? Contact Nancy John (aka Bridgman Sands in SL) about attending a real world meeting to share experiences and interests. Once I know if anyone is interested, I’ll schedule the meeting. NOTE: I am no expert. My current research has made me bold enough to try, and I need help!
